PRISM, the first incubator of innovative Polynesian projects
PRISM is the first incubator of Polynesian innovative projects, launched by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Trades in April 2017 in partnership with MakeSense. This structure helps and supports entrepreneurs to develop when they launch their young innovative business.
The main objective is to support innovation and entrepreneurship in French Polynesia and to have an impact on two levels: to encourage young people to undertake and get started and to support the most promising startup projects.
In three years, PRISM has already supported 30 projects divided into 4 promotions.
PRISM aims to be for French Polynesia the engine of a new dynamic of development of the territory through the emergence of a generation of innovative and responsible startups. PRISM's mission is to create a benevolent ecosystem around project leaders and to support them so that they can develop sustainably.
This ecosystem includes former incubates, experts, mentors and partner companies. PRISM thus participates in building an innovation specific to our island context. Sustainable, sustainable, ethical and "intelligent" innovation.
Of the first 20 projects supported between 2017 and 2019, 15 were formed as a company and 1 as an association. Together, they created 15 jobs and generated over 82 million XPF in turnover.
